Barnard, Lucy Mae was born January 16, 1937 in Huntsville, Alabama to the late Jimmie and Georgia Barnard, she made her heavenly transition November 4, 2023.

Lucy relocated to Pontiac, Michigan in 1966. She worked at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital until she gained employment at General Motors (Pontiac Motors Division), retiring with 38 years of service. Lucy was a faithful and long-time member of Trinity Missionary Baptist, joining under the leadership of Reverend Gragg.

Lucy leaves to cherish her memories one son Richard (Susan) Barnard of Atlanta, Georgia; one sister Marie Lightfoot of Pontiac, Michigan; one special Sister-in-Law Bertha Barnard of Huntsville, Alabama; Special friend Stephanie Edwards and a host of loving relatives and friends.

Lucy Barnard was preceded in her death by her parents, Jimmie and Georgia Barnard; one son Larry Barnard; seven siblings, Martha Barnard, James Barnard (Gussie), William Barnard, Edward Barnard, Walter Barnard, Joe Barnard (Verinna) and Elizabeth McDonald (Charles).

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 13, 2023 at Prospect Missionary Baptist Church 351 Prospect Street, Pontiac, Michigan.  Rev. Richard Barnard, officiating, Rev. Derrick McDonald, Pastor.  There will not be no public viewing.
