Lura Dean Barrett of Rochester Hills, Michigan, made her transition on Saturday, December 9, 2023.  She was born in Greenville, Mississippi.  She was preceded in death by her parents; Lister Lynch and Katie Mae Lynch, her husband; Clarence Barrett and her son; Clarence Barrett, Il.

Lura received her education in Greenville, Mississippi, she relocated to Pontiac, Michigan, in 1967.  She gained employment with Pontiac Motors for 20 years, she was an Administrator for Adult Foster Care, owning seven group homes.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and going to the casino.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her children; Barbara McHenry, Dwayne (LaTonya) Barrett, Gregory (Debra) Barrett, Anthony (Beverly) Barrett and Shawn Barrett, 17 grandchildren.  Also survived by a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Ms. Barrett will lie in repose on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan, from 12:00pm until 6:00pm.

Celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Door of Faith Ministries 511 S. Sanford St. Pontiac, Michigan.  Family hour will begin at 10:30am and the service will start at 11:00am.  Pastor Earl O. Crump, officiating.  Internment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery, Pontiac, Michigan.
