Maggie L. Grant was born on December 13, 1928, in Covington, Tennessee, to the late Hattie M. Jackson and Jordan "Judge" Culbreath.  She peacefully entered eternal rest on May 8, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.  Maggie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles E. Grant; her parents; five brothers: George, Vanders, Emmit, Charles, and Wilford; and five sisters: Naomi, Ionia, Louise, Laura, and Vernicer.

Maggie confessed her faith in Christ at an early age and was baptized at Salem Baptist Church in Mason, Tennessee. Her unwavering faith guided every step of her life.  After relocating to Pontiac, Michigan, she became a devoted member of Antioch Baptist Church, where she served faithfully on the Nurses Board, the Mother's Board, and as a Deaconess. She was also a dedicated member of the Kitchen Committee, always ready to serve both spiritually and physically.In 1980, Maggie joined New Jerusalem Baptist Church, where her commitment to service continued.  She worked in the daycare ministry and continued her roles as a nurse, deaconess, and kitchen committee member.

On April 18, 1958, Maggie married the love of her life, Charles E. Grant. Together they raised eight children.  Though three of their beloved children preceded her in death, Maggie's legacy of love and strength lives on in her family.

She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memory her children: Jerry (Geraldine) Culbreath, Lottie (Larry) Glover, Gloria (Dorman), Judy Grant, Barbara (David) Brown, Wallace Grant, Darron Grant, and Clifton (Nicole) Grant.  She also leaves behind 19 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Among them, a dear friend, Rose (Henry) Turner, who held a special place in her heart.

Celebration of Maggie's Life will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church 168 Prospect St. Pontiac, MI.  Family hour will begin at 11:00am and the service will immediately start at 12:00pm.  Internment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery., Pontiac, Michigan.
