Margery Nell Peet passed away at St. Joseph Hospital on September 13, 2019, from a long battle with cancer.  Despite her illness she never complained, blame God, or asked "why me."

Margery was born August 17, 1944 in Pontiac, Michigan to Jimmie Lee and Olevia Keel.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Roach.  She later married Lawrence Albert Peet who predeceased her in 2009.

For many years Margery worked as a proud stenographer and a secretary at GM Providing Grounds.  With gifted hands, she went on to start her own budiness called Drapery Elegance by Marge.

First and foremost, Margery loved the Lord with all of her heart and soul, and was a devoted servant of God.   She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and my goodness did she bend the rules for those grandchildren she loved so much.   She especially loved her role as "Gran."   She had a vivacious personality and quick-witted intellect, she loved to read, and you could always depend on her words of wisdom and comfort.  She had a heart of gold and was always ready to help anyone in need.   Margery was strong, proud, and a fiercely independent woman, but most of all, she loved to be with her family.  Margery was more than a remarkable mother, grandmother, and a great-grandmother, she was a most cherished friend.

Margery is survived by her siblings, Lula Woodmore (Bruce), Patrisha Curry and Alvin Keel (Janice); A legacy of Love (3) daughters, Karen Jones (Steve), Netasha Ewing and Rashunda Boyd;  (7) grandchildren; Donell (Tamala) Roach, Pierre (Shalonda) Roach, Toddree (Kelly) Turner, Toddrae Turner, Anthony Ewing Alexis Ewing, Jazmyn Ewing, (3) great grandchildren; Cierre, Blake, Gabrielle and Serenity.

Ms. Peet will lie in repose on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m.   Margery Nell Peet's Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Southside Church of God 529 Nebraska Avenue., Pontiac, Michigan.  The family will meet with friends at 10:00 a.m. at the Church prior to the service.  Ms. Peet will be laid to rest at Perry Mt Park Cemetery of Pontiac, Michigan.
