Marilyn Ann Clark was born on April 21,1965 in Pontiac Michigan to Calvin Mason, Sr. and Marjorie (Clark) Brown. She was preceded in death by her father, Calvin Mason, Sr., her brother; Eric Mason and niece; Monica Clark. Marilyn made her transition on July 31, 2024.
She received her education from the Pontiac School System and completed her education at Pontiac Central High School. At an early age Marilyn was baptized and joined the Bible Way Apostolic Temple church under the late George and Reba Johnson and found her love for Jesus Christ. Once in her 30's she moved her membership to Bethlehem Apostolic Faith Church under the pastorate of the late Elder Roosevelt and Doris Johnson. In 1995 on New Year's Eve Marilyn went down again in Jesus Name and received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost and has been running for Jesus ever since.
Marilyn was a devoted bus driver for the West Bloomfield School District (Durham Transportation) for over 30 years. In 2022 Marilyn received a promotion to serve as a Safety Bus Trainer. She loved her position because she was able to live out her passion for caring, teaching, uplifting and most of all transporting her school bus children.
Marilyn had one loving daughter named Sharesha Smith. Sharesha was Marilyn's best friend and biggest supporter. In 2011 Marilyn became a grandmother of a baby boy, Malachi Jernagin. He was her miracle baby and the son that she never had. Sharesha and Malachi were her world.
Some of Marilyn's favorite things to do were going shopping, play the sexaphone, and gardening.
On December 3rd 2006 she moved his membership to Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle of Praise, now known as Burning Bush Apostolic Ministries under the leadership of the late Dr. Tanner Scofield-Cole and Elder Richard Scofield. Once she became a minister she began to be mentored by the late Dr. Tanner Scofield-Cole.
Marilyn leaves to cherish her mother Marjorie (Clark) Brown, daughter Sharesha Smith and grandson Malachi Jernagin. Siblings: Vanessa Clark, Teresa Clark, Sharon Randolph, Leon Hood, Catherine Coit-Mason, Calvin Mason Jr., Darryl Mason, Velma Graves- Mason, Tonie White- Mason, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, goddaughters and the Burning Bush Apostolic Ministries Church Family.
Marilyn will lie in repose on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan. From 1:00pm - 7:00pm.
Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Burning Bush Apostolic Ministries 2950 Watkins Lake Road, Waterford, Michigan. Family hour will begin at 9:30am and the service will immediately start at 10:00am. Internment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery, Pontiac, Michigan.
