In 1972, Marte graduated from Pontiac Northern High School where he was part of
the basketball, football and swim teams. After High School Marte joined the
United States Marine Corps serving our country for six years being honorably
discharged as a Rifle Marksman and received the National Defense Service Medal.
Marte was a hard worker who served his community as a Maintenance Manager
for over 40 years. He loved his job and enjoyed teaching others the skills of his
trade.

Marte met his lovely wife Marlene Kay Bell in 1981 at one of his baseball games.
They later dated and were joined in Holy Matrimony on April 23, 1988. At their
wedding Marte surprised his new bride singing "Sunshine" by Alexander O'Neal,
which was a huge hit! Their union formed a family of six that has now grown to nineteen.

Marte was preceded in death by his parents Josiah Colquitt and Odessa Pierce.

Williams, JoEtta (Donald) Colquitt, his children Marte (Dorian) Dennard Jr.,
Christina (John) Hill, Martel (Aaron Sr.) Green and Joshua (Mariah) Dennard;
grandchildren Tymiree Dennard, Jayden Hill, Tayler Hill, Aaron Green Jr.
Jeremiah Green, Grace Green, Teagan Hill, Amelia Dennard and Alaina Dennard.
Special friends and brothers Theodore Frazier Sr., Rickey Winton and his longtime
