Mary E. Kendrick was born August 14, 1931, in Cornith, Mississippi, to the late Rev. Hugh and Ruth Wims.  She departed this life on July 25, 2025, she was preceded in death by her husband; Charles Kendrick, brothers; Robert, Joe, Jerry and Ronald-Dee Dee Wims, sisters; Laura Walker, Louise Stewart and Stella Winfield, son; Charles Kendrick, Jr., great-grand daughters; SaMarie Chambers and Eternity Kendrick.

Mary accepted Christ at an early age, and continued to worship her Lord and Saviour.  She attended the Pontiac School system and went as far as the ninth grade, she encouraged her family and others to attend school and get as much education as possible.

Mary is survived by her children; Gregory (Bill) Lewis, Kevin (Diane) Kendrick, Mark (Deneen) Kendrick, Sharon Chambers and Jennette Kendrick, her aunt; Estelle Marshall,  siblings; Claudette Nevils, Anne Mems, and John (Betty) Wims, sister-in-laws; Shirley Wims and Valerie Wims, 12 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan, from 2:00pm - 6:00pm.

Celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan.  Family hour will begin at 10:00am and the service will start promptly at 10:30am.  Internment will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
