Oneida Caudle, effectionately known as "Nita", "Nana", and OC", went to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on Thursday, February 11, 2021.  She was born on October 2, 1924 in Ridgeway, SC to the late James and Josephine (Gibson) Jackson.  She moved to Pontiac, Michigan at an early age and was a lifelong member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church.

Oneida was a dignified, sophisticated and a very wise lady.  She was a great cook and made everyone feel welcome in  her home.  Friends and family were very important to Oneida.  She was also an avid bridge player and enjoyed traveling.  Oneida worked at Baldwin Rubber for many years and retired from JC Penneys after over 25 years of dedicated service.

She was married for 56 years to the "love of her life", Harley Caudle, who passed away in 2004.  She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents; sister, Eunice LeDoux; brother, James McMillan; son, Kenneth Walker and grandson Darren Hardiman.

She leaves to cherish her memory; a son, Harley Edward (Dee) Caudle; 10 grandchildren; Vance Hardiman, Tobie Walker, Yolanda Flye, Quintin Hardiman, Lora Dillon, Sharifa (Colin) Walker Louis, Edward H. Caudle, Kenny H.C. Walker, Anthony Caudle and Christopher Armstrong; 20 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren; a nephew Alexander R. (Denise) LeDoux, Jr., and many friends who were like her family.

The family wouldl like to thank Rose Arbor Hospice of Southwest Michigan and Brookdale Portage for the excellent care that they provided for Oneida.

Mrs. Caudle will lie in repose on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.  Internment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan.

As a global concern about Coronavirus (COVID-19) begins  to  have a impact on our community, we are taking necessary steps to ensure the safety of the families we serve and the community in general.  Some families are making the decision to postpone services while others have opted to move forward with a small gathering of close family and friends.

It is Cobb's Funeral Home policy, which lines up with the restrictions of our governor, Gretchen Whitmer, that all gatherings are limited to 20 people with a distance of 6 feet.
