Rebecca Ann Colline, affectionately known as Becky or Ma Colline, was born March 12, 1937, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late John Wesley Solomon and Thelma Solomon. She peacefully gained her wings on January 8, 2026 at the age of 88.
Rebecca accepted Christ at an early age. Rebecca received her education within the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania School system, and graduated in 1955 from Westinghouse High School in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania,
In 1956 she moved to Pontiac, Michigan, where she began to build her work career and family. On May 31, 1969 she married I.C. Colline, he preceded her in death on October 10, 2000. She was employed at OLSHA, Service Car, United States Post Office, Oakland University, and Oakland County Children's Village for 25 years, where she retired.
Rebecca was the matriarch of her family, which during her lifetime, she was devoted and loved providing for her four daughters (1 deceased), twelve grandchildren (two deceased), twenty-six great grandchildren (1 deceased), and four great-great grandchildren. Rebecca taught her family love, patience and strength.
Rebecca leaves to cherish her daughters Sharmen Solomon, Tracie Colline-Jones, Felicia Colline. Grandchildren Twinika Solomon, Timothy Solomon, Tanisha (Thaddeus) Robinson, Shaana (Darius) Whiteside, David Colline, Ishod Colline, Jeremiah Colline, Jasiel Colline, Iriel Colline, Jahkayah Colline, twenty-five great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren. Special Cousin Margaret (Joe) Washington, sister-in-law; Evelyn Robinson. Also survived by a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her Husband I.C. Colline, Father, John Wesley Solomon, Mother, Thelma Solomon, Daughter Mozelle Denise Solomon, Aunt Hattie Henley, Grandson; DeQuawn Travis, Grandson; Isaiah Colline, Great Granddaughter; Symphoney Solomon, and three sisters-in-laws.
Celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan. Family hour will begin at 11am and service will promptly start at 12:00pm. Internment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery, Pontiac, Michigan., immediately after the service.
