Reece Musgraves was born January 17, 1945 to Jeff Musgraves, Sr., and Lucy Clendening Musgraves  in Blythesville, Arkansas.  He had nine siblings, Alvin Jerome "AJ",  Sanobie, Christene, Johnny, Lee Arthur, Jeff, Jr., Harvie, Evelyn and Marvin. In 1967 Reece completed the baseball training program at National Sports Academy,  Inc.  Soon after he moved to Chicago, Illinois and was drafted into the United States Army.  In 1969, he completed two years and came back statewide to settle in Pontiac, Michigan.

In 1970 he met Lore Nelson whom he wed in 1976.  Together they raised five children,  Loricia, Legenia, Maureece, Darenti and Vernisha.  Also they enjoyed their grandchildren, Ivannaw, Willie, Chrishayne, Tamairez Loreal, Tansinee, Kiersten, Amethyst, Rianna, Johnathon, Ariel, Christian Tyler, Xavier, Lavender and 15 great-grandchildren.

On December 14, 2022 the MOST HIGH called Reece home.  Waiting to receive him in rest are his parents Jeff and Lucy, his siblings Johnny, Sanobie, AJ (Alvin Jerome), Lee Arthur, Christene, Harvin, Jeff, Jr., and gradson August.

He is survived by his wife,  Lore and their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his siblings Evelyn Musgraves-Fagin, Marvin (Kathy) a host of cousins,  nephews, nieces, brothers and sisters-in-law and friends.  Funeral services will be private.
