Obituary

Ricky DeQuandre Hodges, " QUAN" of Pontiac, Michigan has departed this life on January 16, 2022.

Ricky De 'Qgandre Hodges, "QUAN" entered into this world on March 3, 1992, to Lyketta Hodges and Jevon Washington in Pontiac, Michigan.

Ricky was baptized at Providence M. B. Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Claude L. Goodwin (deceased), he continued his spiritual journey at Welcome M. B. Church, with Pastor Douglas P. Jones. Ricky joined the youth department, usher board, Voices of Praise choir and loved "Miss Jill" singing. "Quan" graduated from Pontiac High School in 2011, he attended Oakland Community College were he studied computer technology.  Ricky was the videographer for the family. He attended Dorsey College studying nursing and worked part-time as a City of Pontiac Election's Inspector.

Ricky was working on a movie transcript that he was getting ready to put in production. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going bowling, and always wanting to give orders on what was needed to be done with his bright smile and witty energy. He was silly in his own way and always fun to be around.  His passion for caring for others and his big heart will truly be missed.

Ricky has left his memories to cherish with his mother Lyketta Hodges and fatherJevon Washington; two siblings: Ja'Varea Washington and JeShone Washington; grandmothers: Beverly Hodges and Grace Washington (Redford, MI); great-grandmother Ola Washington; aunts: Andria Hodges-Johnson (Hollis), Latonya Calhoun (Adrian) (Southfield, MI); uncles: Amos "Uncle Bo" Hodges Jr.,  Roderick Washington, Rodney Byrd, and Clarence Byrd; cousins whom he loved dearly: Jamar and Ta'Niyah; special cousins Shanquetta and Sharita Moore; God-Parents: Ronald and Katrina Stewart, God-Brothers & Sisters: Kori, Kenden, Ki'Jana, and Kree; very best friend Champelle (Pooh-Pooh) Bridges, great uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Proceeded him in death, great-grandparents: Amos and Hubener Hodges; grandparents: Amos B. Hodges Sr., L.C. Washington, Edward (Ben) Henry, and favorite cousin Risheka Page.

Funeral services will be held on Monday,  January 31, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Welcome Missionary Baptist Church 143 Oneida St., Pontiac, Michigan.  Family hour will start at 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
