R.L. Davis departed this life on July 17, 2022.  Mr. R.L. Davis leaves to cherish his memory; wife, Gwendolyn; daughter, Tamika Chandler of San Diego, CA; step son, Myron Long of Orion Township; one grandson, Jabari Long; seven sisters, Betty Moore of New Bern, NC; Vertia Davis of Orion Township, MI; Evelyn Davis of Pollicksville, NC; Gloria (Garfield) Haddock of Trenton, NC; Gale (George) Hargett of Pollicksville, NC, Sharon (Andre) Ingram, Trenton, NC; and Deborah Sanders of New Bern, NC; two brothers, Cleave Davis of Waterford, MI and Larry Davis of Trenton, NC.  He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Davis and Lacy Cox Davis; three sisters, Ada Bell Davis-Weatherspoon, Emma Williams and Pattie Staten; brothers, James Earl Davis and Ken Davis.

Mr. Davis will lie in repose on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road in Pontiac, Michigan from 1:30 p.m until 7:30 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road in Pontiac, Michigan.  Family hour will start at 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.  Internment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan.
