Robert Ernest Baugh, Sr. of Pontiac, Michigan departed this life on December 11, 2021. Mr. Baugh was born on June 1, 1940 to the late Ralph Andre Baugh, Sr. and Mazola Davidson in Greenville, Alabama.   He was a member of Mount Zion, MBC in Greenville, Alabama. He also attended school in Greenville, Alabama. Robert later moved to Pontiac, Michigan at the age of 20 years old, where he later worked for General Motors for many years and retired. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Robert was a man who loved his family and God. Robert found great pleasure in listening to good old Blues and traveling to the South with Dee and his family. He   especially loved spending time with his children during the holidays. Robert was a sports fanatic!  He enjoyed watching the Pistons and his favorite player, Isaiah Thomas.  He truly enjoyed life to the fullest and had faith that God healed according to his will. Robert entered eternal rest on December 11, 2021, he exchanged his earthly cowboy boots for a golden pair in heaven. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Ralph Baugh, Sr. and Mazola Davidson, wife Ruby Baugh, brother Eddie Davidson, and his son Mark Smith.

Robert leaves to cherish his precious memories: his daughter, Beunitta Gibson; sons, Robert  Ernest Baugh Jr., Ralph Baugh, Ronald Baugh, Randy (TaShyla) Baugh, Raymond McCowen, all of   Pontiac, Michigan; four sisters, Mary Alice Martin and Gail Montgomery of Greenville, Alabama, Sandra Davidson of Wixom, Missouri and Lenora (William) Davidson-Haslip of Detroit, Michigan; A host of forty-one grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great  grandchildren, nieces and nephews, a special friend of many years, Ladetra Crawford and a surrogate daughter, Kimberly Banguil.

Funeral services for Mr. Baugh will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 11 a.m. at New Experience Church of Christ 575 E. Pike St., Pontiac, Michigan, family hour will start at 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.  Bishop Antonio Gibson, officiating.  Internment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan.
