Robert L. Rice, departed this life on January 22, 2022 in Pontiac, MI.  He was born on December 19, 1948 to Lizzie and Taft Rice in Crawfordville, Arkansas and was raise in Charleston, Missouri.  He also served in the United States Army for a brief period of time.

In 1975, in Maywood, Illinois, Robert married Jacqueline Rice.  From this union two children were born, Ko'Shun and Lavell Rice.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Taft, Charlie, James and John Lee Rice, sons, Everett, Ricky and Robert Fisher,

Leaving to cherish his memory: his wife, Jacqueline; four sons, Ko'Shun, Lavell, Darel and Steve Rice; two daughters, Deborah Kelly from Chicago, IL and Renee Day from Pennsylvania; three sisters, Bobbie Smith from Benton Harbor, MI, Barbara Jackson and Sheila Long from Sikeston, MO ; three brothers Jamie, Timmy and Danny Ray Long from Missouri and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Rice will lie in repose on Monday, February 7, 2022 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road in Pontiac, Michigan., from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February  8, 2022 at Cobb's Funeral Home at 11 a.m.   Family hour will start at 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.  Internment will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
