Mr. Roosevelt Jones of Pontiac, Michigan was born on February 14,1934, in Jonesboro, Louisiana.  He departed this life on March 23, 2022.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years,  Mrs. Rosie Mae Jones; his parents, Prett & Rosetta Jones; his daughter, Diane Jones; his son, Jimmy Dale Jones; two grandchildren, Tequila Jones and Nia Jones; two great-grandchildren, JW Darnell Hurst, Jr., and Daisneekqua Thompson; three sisters, Ms. Stella Mae Broadway, Ethel Lee Harris and Catherine Prudent, two brothers, Mr. Moses and Mr. Eugene Jones.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Ms. Annette Jackson, Mr. Jerry, Ms. Lynn and Mr. Perry (Barbara) Jones all of Pontiac, Michigan, Mrs. TocQuien (Edward) Allen of Southfield, Michigan and his older son, Mr. Dwayne W. Jones of South, Carolina., three sisters; Ms. Ethel Mae Clisel of Monroe, Louisiana, Dorothy Jones and Lucinda Fletcher of Tallulah, Louisiana; brothers-in-laws, Mr. James (Renae) Curry, Mr. Robert (Ruth) Curry; sisters-in-laws, Mrs. Betty (Charles) Naylor, Mrs. Levada Taylor and Ms. Louise Curry; special friend, Ray; 22 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 26 great-great-grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Mr. Jones will lie in repose on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan from 1 p.m until 6 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan, family hour will start at 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.  Internment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan.
