Obituary

Ruby Lee Dawson was born June 28, 1933 in Osceola, Arkansas to the union of Littleton and JoAnna White.   She came to Pontiac, Michigan at 2 years old with her parents and remained in Pontiac until her transition.   Ruby departed this life on January 16, 2020  peacefully at Regency in Waterford, Michigan.

Ruby leaves to cherish her loving memory her children; Betty Settles, Deborah Ray, Audrey Geans, LeBaron Jacobs, Bernard (Laura) Dawson,  Marie Dawson-Strong, siblings; Ruthie Griffin, Littleton (Ann) White, Levera (Eric) Rayford, Charloette (Kevin) Kerridge and Amanda (Milas) Harris, grandchildren; Kenneth, Kevin, Keith (Adrian), Kim (Tim), Gregory, Kelly, Lisa, Kasia, Kareem, Asheley and Tiffany,  28 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, a special aunt Mary White and a special great-great-grandson, Kevin Cashious White (KC).  Also survived by a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Preceeding her in death, her husband Horace "Duke" Dawson, parents Littleton White and JoAnna Austin (11/16/1995), children, Delois Armstrong and Charles E. White (1/16/2006).

Mrs. Dawson will lie in repose on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac,Michigan from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m.    Ruby Lee Dawson's Celebration of life will be held on Monday, January 27, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church 512 Pearsall St., Pontiac, Michigan, the family hour will start at 10:30 a.m.  Pastor Terrance Gowdy, officiating.
