Obituary

Sadie Mae Abram was born on February 1, 1926 in Montgomery, Alabama, she passed away on September 28, 2019 at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester Hills, Michigan.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Sarah Green and her husband, Blumie Abram.  She spent countless hours with her loving and devoted niece, Rosa Lena Robinson, who preceded her in death.  Family and friends gather today to reflect the significance of a life well lived.

Sadie accepted Christ at an early age, she attended Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Pontiac, Michigan.   Although she did not have any children of her own, she was a second mother and instrumental in raising nine great nieces and nephews.  She also took under her wings a special great-great nephew, Ricky Morgan and was affectionately called "Mama Sadie."

Sadie was united in holy matrimony to the late Blumie Abram and loved viewing the lakes during their fishing trips.  She was an avid bingo and card player and loved winning the game.  She was employed at Braeburn Nursing Home (currently Woodward Hills, in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan) and was a passionate care giver.

She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory,  her nephew George (Kathy) Howard, Sr., great nephews and nieces; George (Marie) Howard, Jr., Harolyn Elaine (Frank) Burnett, Calvin (Delvern) Howard, Gary Howard, Teresa Rodges, Diane Howard, Sadie (Jerry) Burnett, LaRhonda (Donson) McCann, Antoniette (Christopher) McClenney, Kristofer (Jacquelyn) Howard, Kristin Howard, Krista Howard, great-great nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.   She was preceded in death by her great nieces, Sandra Howard-Morgan and Sarah Green and great nephew Raymond Charles Howard.

Ms. Abram will lie in repose on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m.   Sadie Mae Abram's Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, October 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Cobb's Funeral Home Chapel, the family hour will be at 10:30 a.m.  Ms. Abram will be laid to rest at Perry Mount Park Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan.
