Sadie Smoot of Pontiac, departed this life on February 10, 2018, she was preceded in death by her husband Elbert Smoot and her parents the late Jone and Mary Gilliand. She is the Sister of Napoleon Gilliand and was preceded in death by five other siblings. Also survived by a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Ms. Smoot was a Member of New Springfield Missionary Baptist Church of Pontiac, Michigan. She worked as a Surgical Clerk for McLaren Hospital.

Ms. Sadie Smoot will lie in repose on Friday, February 16, 2018, at New Springfield Missionary Baptist Church 124 Prospect Pontiac, Michigan. From 12pm until 8pm. Ms. Smoot's Home going celebration will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 11am at New Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, the family will meet with friends at 10:30am at the church prior to the service. Ms. Sadie Smoot will be laid to rest at Perry Mount Park Cemetery.
