Sharon Paulette Cox aka Ms. Phifer of Pontiac, Michigan, made her transition on July 20, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Wilson and Ruth Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her son; Thomas Pride, sister; Emaline Wilson and two brothers; Robert Wilson and Andre Woodall.
She is survived by her daughter; Alesia Pride, step-daughter; Marie Curry and step-son; Andre Curry, sisters; Denise Hopson and Kimberly Burks, Life Partner; Daniel Phifer. Also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Sharon loved unconditionally, offering her heart without hesitation and expecting nothing in return. A true problem solver, she met challenges with grace, determination, and a sense of calm that uplifted everyone around her. Her presence was a gift--steady, compassionate, and always thoughtful. She was deeply loved, not just for what she did, but for who she was a light in the lives of many and a powerful force for good in her community.
Sharon Cox will lie in repose on Monday, July 28, 2025, at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan, from 12:00pm - 6:00pm.
Celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Grace & Peace Community Church 451 W. Kennett Road., Pontiac, Michigan. Family hour will begin at 10:30am and the service will immediately start at 11:00am. Interment will follow after the service at Perry Mount Park Cemetery, Pontiac, Michigan.
