Shirley Ann Jackson was born on June 15, 1937 to Myrtle Butler and Charles Bartley in Hazelhurst, Mississippi.  Shirley peacefully took her wings, surrounded by her family on March 13, 2024 at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, MI.

Shirley attended Parrish High School in Hazelhurst, Mississippi.  She was the youngest of six children. At a early age she dedicated her life to Christ and was baptized.  She was united in Holy Matrimony to Willie Jackson.  To this union she birthed 12 children, and later adopted her granddaughter.

Shirley was a homemaker and was affectionately called Shilann by many family members. She was a joyful and kind person, she had a heart of gold and loved opening her home to others.  She raised many additional children outside of her own children.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening, playing cards, and going to the Casino was her all-time favorite activity.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Myrtle Butler and Charles Bartley; Her siblings Albert Mason, Calvin Mason, Steve Mason, Candy Mason, Estelle Mason; Her children Tracy Jackson, Linda Jackson, Brenda Jackson, Yvonne Jackson, Rose Jackson; Her Grandchildren Keywantae Jackson, Jeresse Jackson

She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Debra Williams (Wayne), Lisa Jackson, Willie Jackson, Anthony Jackson, Larry Jackson, Keith Jackson, Cheryl Jackson (Mark), Sharia Jackson; Special nephews and niece Calvin Mason Jr, Velma Graves, Grant Mason, Alfonzo Jones, Joe Joe Jones, Jesse Jones, and Thomas Mason.  Also survived by a host of loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Shirley Ann Jackson will lie in repose on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Cobb's Funeral Home Chapel 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan.  From 12:00pm - 6:00pm.

Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 23, 3024, at Cobb's Funeral Home Chapel.  Family hour will begin at 10:00am and the service will promptly start at 11:00am.  Interment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery, Pontiac, Michigan.
