Shirley Anne Smith, age 85, departed this life on April 17, 2020 at Ascension Providence Hospital in Rochester, Michigan.  She was preceded in death by her husband, George L. Smith;  parents, Leslie & Mary Gamby; son, Julius E. Alexander Jr., and sister Saundra L. Gould.

Mrs. Smith leaves to cherish her memory, daughter; Yvette L.(Darnell) Johnson, grandsons; Zuriel D. Johnson and Dionte J. Carter, sisters; Jane Ligon, Pamela Gamby, Lesley Gamby and Allen Gamby.  Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Shirley enjoyed cooking, knitting, crocheting and sharing with others.  A Celebration of her life will be announced at a later time.

A family gathering for FAMILY ONLY, will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at 11 a.m. at  Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan.   The internment will be at Mt. Hope Catholic Cemetery, 727 Orchard Lake Rd., Pontiac, Michigan.  Cars will be welcomed to join at the cemetery with restrictions of not leaving your car.
