Thomas Harold Palmer was born to George H. Palmer and Ethel Shaffer on June 8, 1949 in Erie Pennsylvania.

Thomas departed this life on January 21, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Donald, Richard and Robert, one sister, Donna.

Cherishing his memory, his wife; Cecilia, 5 children; Kassie (Brad), Dale (Trish), Donald (Lisa), Katie (Mitch), Adam; 2 stepchildren; Venita (Earl), Vanessa (Durand), siblings; Melvin (Betty), Dave (Audrey), brother-in-law, Terry, sister-in-law, June and Becky.  Also survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.

Thomas was a former Marine and heavy quipment operator.  He received a degree in Applied Science in Social Work.  His passion was to counsel and offer support to Veterans and their families.  He enjoyed cooking, watching football and wrestling.

Funeral services for Mr. Palmer will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan.  Family hour will start at 10 a.m. prior to the service.  Internment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan.

As a global concern about Coronavirus (COVID-19) begins  to  have a impact on our community, we are taking necessary steps to ensure the safety of the families we serve and the community in general.  Some families are making the decision to postpone services while others have opted to move forward with a small gathering of close family and friends.

It is Cobb's Funeral Home policy, which lines up with the restrictions of our governor, Gretchen Whitmer, that all gatherings are limited to 20 people with a distance of 6 feet.
