Vernon Junior Gordon, Jr., of Pontiac, Michigan departed this life on April 3, 2023 .  He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Gordon, Sr., and Mattie L. Odneal, his siblings, Angela Gordon and Dennis Gordon.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Pamela Elam-Gordon in Pontiac, MI., his children; Danny Gordon in Redford, MI,, Vernon (Sherry) Gordon, III, in Pontiac, MI., L'tore Gordon in Pontiac, M., Essencia Zyair Gordon (Extended Daughter) in Pontiac, MI., two step-daughters; LaShaundra (Kenyal Pilgrim) in Pontiac, MI., and Davarida King in Detroit, Mi., his siblings; James Gordon in Pontiac, MI., Charles Gordon in Pontiac, MI., Larry Gordon in Pontiac, MI., Linda Kellman in Oak Park, MI., Shannon Gordon in Nashville, TN., Deanna Gordon in North Carolina and Gwenevere Washington in Portage, MI., 23 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  Also survived by a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Mr. Gordon retired as an Assistant Pastor from Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Pontiac, Michigan.  Active member at Zion Refugee, also a retiree from General Motors and he was apart of NSPIRE Media.

Mr. Gordon will lie in repose on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church 318 Auburn Ave in Pontiac, Michigan from 12:00pm until 6:00pm.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 11:00am at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church 318 Auburn Ave in Pontiac, Michigan., Rev. Timothy Lawrence, Jr., officiating.  Family hour will start at 10:00am.  Internment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan.
