Vince Lee Sherrell was born on January 16, 1953, in Pontiac, Michigan, and departed this life on Friday, June 28, 2024.  He was the sixth child born to Linzie Sherrell, Jr. and Acil Sherrell-Wilson, they both proceeded him in death along with his sister Cynthia Blackwell, and very special sister-in-laws; Carla George, Sally Brown and brother-in-law; William George.

He was educated in the Pontiac Public School System.  Growing up, Vince was a curious, energetic, and playful child.  Raised in a Christian home that stressed love and family first, he carried these values throughout his life.  He "loved" his family, especially his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Brenda (George) Sherrell; 4 daughters Ronette, Shayla, and Veronica George all of Pontiac,MI, Sepia Rackston of Florida; 2 sons Nathaniel and Jarron George of Pontiac,MI., Sister-in-law; Linda Rice of Pontiac, MI.  Brother-in-law; Timothy Mitchell of Minnesota. 3 sisters; Mrs. Edna Williams of Bloomfield Hills, Mrs. Carolyn Hindmon, Mrs. Patricia (William) Taylor all of Pontiac, MI., 2 brothers; Ricky Sherrell of Pontiac, MI and Michael (Yolita) Sherrell of York , S.C., 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grand children.   Also survived by a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at Cobb's Funeral Home Chapel 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, MI.  Family hour will begin at 10:00am and the service will immediately start at 11:00am.
