Walter Lee Wright was born on February 6, 1955 to Sarah Cody & A. B. Wright in Memphis, Tennessee.   He was raised in Earle Arkansas and attended Earle Dunbar School from Elementary thru High School.  He departed this life on November 26, 2019 in Pontiac, Michigan.  His parents and his son Ricky Lee Johnson preceded him in death.

Walter moved to Pontiac, Michigan in "1978.," he met his ex-wife, Martha Stephens in "1977" back home in Earle, Arkansas.  They were married in "1979" in Pontiac, Michigan., and five children was born to this union.

Walter was a member of Bibleway Apostolic Church in Pontiac, Michigan under the leadership of the late, Dr. Reba Johnson & Elder George Johnson, for twenty five years.  He worked at S&S Seafood as a Cook and Charles Lane Townhouses in the Maintenance Department.

Walter was a good father, he loved his children, he also enjoyed spending time with family, friends, going to cook outs, attending the dream cruise and he loved his sister-in-law potato salad.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his children, Derrick (LaShana) Carr-Wright, Alisha Wright, Walter Wright, Jr., Deon Wright, Evette Wright all of Pontiac, Michigan., Latoya Johnson of Earle, AR., siblings; Corine (Timothy) Harriel of Deltona, FL., A.B. (Annie Lee) Wright, Jr., of Pine Bluff, AR., Katherine (the late, Lester) Combs of Milwaukee, WI., Carl (Michelle) Wright of Pontiac, MI., Aaron (Cynthia) Wright of Pontiac, MI., Carolyn (Jeff) Smith of Deltona, FL., and Elizabeth (Johnny) Wright of Deltona, FL.  Also survived by twenty-one grandchildren,  one great grandchild, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Mr. Wright will lie in repose on Friday, December 6, 2019 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m.   Walter Lee Wright's Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Woodside Bible Church 830 Auburn Ave., Pontiac, Michigan, the family hour will start at 10:30 a.m.
