Willie Albert Davis was born on December 19, 1932, in Rolling Fork, Mississippi to the late Willie Albert Davis and Leonia Jackson.

He left Rolling Fork, Mississippi with his family as a young man to pursue a career at Pontiac General Motors, where he worked at until he retired.  He received Christ at an early age.  He would never say goodbye, instead he would say (Take the Name of Jesus with you everywhere you go, God Bless you and I Love you).

On Friday, July 21, 2023, as the new days dawn broke, Willie Davis awoke.  Although his body was frail and tired, his spirits was full of grateful appreciation to be able to draw another breath every second he was graced on earth.  Willie transitioned peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones and a new found friend, his care giver, as he wished.

Willie was preceded in death by both parents, Willie Albert Davis and Leiona Jackson Davis, one sister, Lubertha Hills, three children; Betty, Dorothy and James Banks.

He leaves to carry on a host of friends and loved ones, six sons; Larry Davis, Terry (Shelia) Davis, Arthur (Nitha) Davis, Curtis Davis, Ronnie Davis, Peter Davis and two daughters; Rose Davis and Yvette Davis Dickinson, twenty-five grandchildren, forty great-grand and ten great-great-grandchildren.  A host of nieces, nephews, several cousins and friends.

Mr. Davis will lie in repose on Friday, August 4, 2023, at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan, from 12:00pm until 7:00pm.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 10:00am at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan.
