Willie Mae Jones of Pontiac, Michigan departed this life on September 22, 2018.    The world was a better place when the beloved Willie Mae (Buckner) Jones was born into this world on August 25, 1947, to the union of the late Elmer Sr. and Hattie Mary (Simpson) Buckner in Montgomery, Alabama.  She is a daughter, mother, sister, aunt,  grandmother,  great-grandmother and the oldest daughter of nine children. Ms. Jones confessed Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour at an early age.   Her soul heard our lord and master's call and she answered and was given a one way ticket to her heavenly destination.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Carolyn (Jones) Johnson, (Rev. Virgil Johnson), Lorraine (Jones) Parks, Brenda Jones-Lewis, Roberta Jones and the late Charles Parks.  Her siblings;  Willie Jim Buckner (Bubba her twin), Mary Ann Buckner-Meadows, Johnny Buckner, JoAnn (Rev. Sylvester) Thompson, and the late Ricky Meadows all of Pontiac, Michigan.  She loved her siblings beyond measures. Also survived by a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Ms. Jones will lie in repose on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m.  Ms. Jones Celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Messiah Missionary Baptist Church 15 Mark St., Pontiac, Michigan.  The family will meet with friends at 10 a.m. at the church prior to the service.   Ms. Jones will be laid to rest at Perry Mt Park Cemetery of Pontiac, Michigan.
