Willis Marcus Henderson of Detroit, Michigan departed this life on December 23, 2021.

Willis Marcus Henderson, Jr. was born July 29,1935 in East Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  He was the 3rd oldest child born to the union of Willis Marcus Henderson, Sr. and Beatrice Henderson. His parents Willis, Sr. and Beatrice and siblings, Joseph Henderson, Roosevelt Henderson, Hazel Golf and Izola Ennis all preceeded him in death

He was educated in the Baton Rouge education system where he graduated from high school. He mi g rated to Pontiac, Michigan after graduation to pursue better opportunities. He was the manager of University Roller Skating Rink and also the manager at Rolladium Skating Rink for many years , while holding down a full time job at GMC Truck and Coach where he worked for 39 years retiring after a rewarding career.

He met and married Thelma Weaver. From this union 2 boys and I girl were born. Willis was known for his love for cook outs and good and great parties.  He loved bowling, Detroit Lions and roller skating!!

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Thelma Henderson; children Rodney Henderson (Teresa) of Pontiac, Michigan, Regina Henderson of Clarksburg, Maryland and Mark Henderson (Rosie) of Detroit, Michigan; step-children Richard Weaver of Pontiac and Gayle Weaver of, Atlanta, Georgia; siblings Rosa Henderson and Morris (MC) Henderson; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many sister-in-law's and a host of other loving family members that will miss him dearly.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Cobb's Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road., Pontiac, Michigan.  Family hour will start at 10 a.m. at Cobb's Funeral Home prior to the service.  Internment will be held at Perry Mount Park Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan.
